Deian
Moore
’s love of wildlife and nature shines through her art.
She has been painting professionally for over 8 years, and
portrays elements of her personal, outdoor experiences in nearly
every painting. She
grew up rural
North Idaho
, but moved to
Oregon
where she earned her degree in art and a minor in fisheries and
wildlife from
Oregon
State
University
in 1993. She worked
for the U.S. Forest Service, in fisheries, for almost 11 years
while pursuing her painting career.
This time spent in the field allowed Deian to expand her
knowledge, and also left her yearning to paint more.
“Painting
is my passion! I think half of my love for painting is getting out
and experiencing wildlife and nature; even the smallest of
creatures excite me when I can observe them in their natural
habitat. It's my goal to make an impact in wildlife art so I may
give something back to nature.”
