I made my first trip to Hawaii (went to Maui) this Sprint '07 and it was one of the best places I've visted yet!  Although this doesn't look like a typical Hawaiian scene, this was based on my observations on top of Haleakala National Park.  The park, on top, is seemingly devoid of  life, until you take a closer look.  These Chukars were happily making a living at 9000 feet above sea level.  This painting is currently being judged in the "Paint the Parks" national competition.
