This painting was accepted into the 2006 Kentucky National Wildlife Exhibit.   In the summer of 2005 I was camping near Clear Lake, Oregon, in the Cascades.  I was able to get several nice shots of various waterfowl, including this trumpeter swan, and composed this elegant pose.
